Alyssa shares:
“Maddie came to one of my small groups (at Montana Tech), deep in the throws of drug addiction and homosexuality. She had been hurt by the church and did not believe that someone as far off the beaten path as her could be loved by this God of the church that rejects homosexuality. Maddie grew up in a broken home with school and intelligence as her refuge. She had no idea who Jesus was or why Christians even celebrated Easter.Maddie was desperate for love that was real and lasting. Through discipleship in Chi Alpha, she has given her life to Jesus and was baptized at our annual Fall Retreat. Now living a clean lifestyle, Maddie has taken our Discipleship Training Class to become a leader in our group.
My passion is to change the trajectory of tomorrow by allowing Jesus to change lives today. I believe that generational change begins in the foundational college years. If students can meet Jesus now, generations to follow will be changed because of their submission to Christ.”
