Women In Ministry!

Women in MinistryOne of the great things I value about Chi Alpha is our long-standing commitment to women in ministry. Our Nationally Appointed Missionaries (highest level of staff) are 41% women.

One of Chi Alpha’s tremendous leaders is Haley Daughtrey. I’ve had the privilege to work with her over the past 14 months. It’s exciting that she has nearly completed her national appointment funding. During this time, she also had maternity leave, and she and William welcomed their second child. They are now raising a 7-month-old and a 3-year-old. Haley leads a thriving Chi Alpha ministry at the University of North Texas (UNT). She has a strong staff team and an internship program.

Haley shares this testimony:

Wasn’t On Her Radar!

Jessie came to college as a math major, planning to become a teacher. She didn’t grow up in church—her parents were skeptical of religion, viewing Christianity as hypocritical—so faith wasn’t on her radar. Early in Jessie’s first year, she fell into the party scene that quickly left her questioning everything. One night, she woke up alone in a stranger’s bathtub. Before the semester was halfway over, she was struggling academically, relationally, and personally.

Thankfully, a close friend back home, connected to Chi Alpha, encouraged Jessie to reach out to Chi Alpha at UNT. She did, and within two days, we met. Over the next few weeks, we built a genuine connection and talked deeply about faith and Jesus. As Jessie began attending Chi Alpha events, I saw a clear shift—she was drawn to the joy and peace she saw in others. Soon, she wasn’t just being invited—she was seeking it out, she responded to the Gospel and gave her life to Jesus.

From that moment, everything changed. Jessie embraced a new joy and purpose, grew deeply in her faith, and began sharing it with others. Today, she serves as both a kids pastor and a Chi Alpha missionary. Even more, her parents are now regularly attending church because of her witness.

Foundation!

Every building stands because it is supported by a strong foundation. In the same way, you are the foundation upon which this ministry stands. Through your faithful prayer and financial support, career missionaries like Haley are able to reach students like Jessie. Your commitment is making an eternal impact—helping collegians come to faith and grow in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your generosity and for the vital role you play in this mission!

Yours for the souls of collegians,
